Instructor/Dojo Board Member – ASU Sandan

Don Sensei began his Aikido training in 1988.  He received his Shodan rank from Saotome Sensei  Shihan in March of 1994.  Relocation and family demands took him away from Aikido for about twenty years.  During that time he was able to train in Jujitsu through a community program.  Don Sensei returned to Aikido in 2004. He trained with Betsy O’Donnell Sensei at Lake Shore Aikido.  In November of 2019 he received his Nidan rank from Wendy Whited Shihan. In June of 2023, he was promoted to Sandan by Tres Hofmeister Sensei. He continues to study at Lakeshore Aikido under the direction of Tom Krumroy Sensei.   Influential instructors include Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, Wendy Whited Shihan and Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan.
